We, At Greensleeves, are not dry cleaners that have "turned green" to improve our business. We came with a set of ideals and beliefs that are the foundation of our service.
Toxic processes, wasteful packaging and the lack of sustainability are cheap and ignorant. Technology and awareness has brought us to a level of capability and understanding where we can provide far better, cleaner processing without the harmful, wasteful ways of careless greed.
While many dry cleaners have changed from using Perc to the less harmful Hydrocarbon, often called “organic" - to which we applaud their efforts, we built Greensleeves from the ground up to be a model of health awareness and environmental concern for the dry cleaning industry.
Most dry cleaning plants are the bane of their neighborhood. The odor carries for a distance, a smell that reveals the unnatural chemical orientation of the process. And more plastic bags then a supermarket ten times as big.
This simply does not have to be. Technology and availability today have made it possible for the dry cleaning plant to operate in harmony with the environment, to not pose a threat to anyone’s health; to clean clothes cleaner than they were ever cleaned before. The footprint of our actions should never be a burden to future generations.
Greensleeves is always looking for a better way and will continue to do so. Our commitment to health and the environment is as strong as our commitment to quality. Greensleeves will always be the example for other cleaners to aspire.
